Rated 4 out of 5 by from I bought this few weeks ago online from Canada to fix my old cooKoo which has been broken few years. With this new pack, I could make it alive back. Working great, but can't figure out how to set the CooKoo sing time. Now it sings at 30 min each hour. So 3 times at 2:30pm.... and the switch part is not matched on my old case so I need to cut a hole to make it fit. Generally I am happy to have the clock back since it was a gift even though I paid little higher than I expected including import custom tax and international delivery fee.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Cuckoo Movement I have purchased about 5 of these movements. They are very reliable and batteries are lasting well over two years. I have had one clock running now for over 3 years and had no issues with any part of the movement. It is really cool to see the little bird pop out and flutter its wings up and down as it cuckoo's the hour. I only wish the face pieces were made of something a little classier then the plastic used.

How to set the click for a bird to sing on correct time so that it cookoos twice at 2pm? Now it cookoos twice at 1:30pm and so on.

Asked by: raffy
Hi raffy, to sync your time with chime, after the movement chimes for the hour, please gently lift the minute and hour hands off of the hand shaft. Reattach the hands on the hand shaft to the correct time for the hour. For example: If the time is 1:30 pm and chimes twice, allow the movement to complete the chime. Once complete remove the hands from the hand shaft, and reattach the hour hand at the 2 and the minute hand on the 12 on the clock dial. If you have any questions on this information, please contact us at 1-800-556-2548.

Asked by: Naninenu
Hi Naninenu, the clock dial on this cuckoo movement can be removed. The cuckoo doors are not removable as they are wired to the housing.

Can I purchase a nicer clock face separately to work with this kit? Something not plastic... Like how customizable is this kit if I buy pieces separately? Thanks.

Asked by: Kosta
Hi Kosta, we do not currently offer alternative clock faces for this cuckoo clock movement.

Greetings, I have owned this movement for over 10 years and has worked perfectly. I recently had to replace the 2 D size batteries, and now only the pendulum works. The clock and cuckoo doesn't work. Do I need to reset the mechanism somehow? Thank you.

Asked by: Johnny K
Hi Johnny, please ensure the batteries being used are brand new. If the batteries are fresh, we suggest rolling the batteries in the battery compartment to ensure contact. Also, please check the sensor light above the numeral 12 has not become covered. If the sensor is blocked, this can cause the clock movement to not cuckoo. If all of these aspect have been checked and no improvement, then the clock movement needs to be replaced. If a replacement is needed, please contact us at 1-800-556-2548 and we'll help you with that process.

I am looking to replace and Bradford Trophy Time piece movement, what is the dial thickness, hand shaft length and shaft diameter? Thanks for your help.

Asked by: Jim 64
Hi Jim, here are the definitions for each: Maximum Dial Thickness: Refers to the thickness of material the hand shaft will travel through, including the clock dial and any material the dial is mounted to. The maximum thickness listed above has 1/8" built in to accommodate for mounting hardware. Total Hand Shaft Length: Refers to the total length of the hand shaft. Measure the entire hand shaft to determine your movement's total hand shaft length, from the base of the clock movement to the tip where the clock hands are attached. Shaft Diameter: Refers to the diameter of the gold bushing on the hand shaft in the center of the clock movement.
