Questions

I'm building a reproduction of a Shaker wall clock, circa 1840, and am looking for a non-chiming mechanical movement. This movement, 771-000, seems to fit the bill, but I would prefer a longer pendulum (20 1/4). Any options?

Asked by: Tom Wassack
Hello Tom Wassack, we do not currently offer a longer pendulum option for this movement.

Is this a key wind up? and if so does it wind from the front or back. My clock has 2 wind up key holes and opens from the front total length is 27" from top to bottom of clock. it has a korean movement trying to find a replacement works.

Asked by: Herbieone2013
This Hermle mechanical movement is a key wind up. It has 1 wind up right under the hand shaft. The total length is 15” from the top of the movement to the bottom of the pendulum. If you have any questions on this information, please contact us at 1-800-556-2548.

Can this movement be used to replace an Urgos movement? The numbers off the existing movement are UW21050.

Do you sell a more ornate pendulum that will work with this clock? If not, can you suggest an alternate source?

Asked by: Hank1
Hi Hank, the included pendulum is the only one we currently offer that will properly work with this unit.

the picture shows a pendulum length of 15" measured from the top of the unit to the bottom of the pendulum. The "helpful hints" section notes this measurement is made from the shaft to the bottom of the pendulum, which one do I follow for the 15".

Asked by: dan2809
Hi Dan, please follow what is shown above. The pendulum length for this mechanical movement is 15" from the top of the unit to the bottom of the pendulum.
