Dearborn Regulator Wall Clock Kit is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Dearborn Regulator kit Pros: The wood was straight and clear with no visible defects and required minimal sanding prior to staining. Easy to assemble. My wife loves it! Cons: The assembly instructions and illustrations should be improved. The supplied plastic “retainer” for the glass and dial face would not fit to either piece, so I had to improvise a solution using wood tabs. Maybe mine came with the wrong part? The clock case came out of the box with one end almost detached from the sides which required me to fix. All in all though, it turned out to be a very nice piece that I get lot’s of compliments on. Maybe I’ll try another one in the near future. These would make great gifts.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product iffy instructions. I love this clock, and so does my mother, whom it was purchased for. The greatest carpentry skill I needed was an eye for keeping things symmetrical. The instructions were a little unclear at moments, the parts don't come labeled so you kind of have to figure out what goes where by looking at the illustrations. Aside from that small bit of puzzle solving this was super easy and only took me a total two half days working on it. Clamps and stain were the only things REALLY required, everything else you may need comes in the kit. Great weekend project for anyone looking to do simple wood building projects.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from herloom I am disabled and used to do allot of wood working, I wanted to make a clock for my grand daughter for Christmas so she will have something to remember. The assembly was very easy but during assembly I lost grasp of the glass and broke it. thankfully your company had extra on stock and for a fee they shipped me a new glass. this clock hangs on the wall in her bedroom and it is the first and last thing she sees during her day

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Kit! Me and My Son Had a Blast Really nice kit. Went together perfect and my son got to learn how to finish wood as well as assembly. For the money, this was a great way to get my son out in the garage with me. A very enexpinsive heirloom. :)

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor quality control Upon arrival, I read the instructions and checked to see that all parts were included and correct. The pre-assembled clock case was not square. Two of the mitered corners were only partially glued and not aligned properly. At this point I should have boxed it up and returned it. However, being a some-what skilled woodworker I first tried to separated the partially glued joints to reset them in the proper position. I was unsuccessful, fearing that I would crack or damage the wood. My next option was to force wood glue in the joint where it had failed to adhere. I then used small bar clamps to pull the joints together and hopefully pull the case square. When removing the clamps 24 hours later, the joints were closed and tight but I was not successful in squaring up the case. I carefully block sanded the misaligned areas, using a carpenter's square to check my progress. This was a slow, tedious process and I found it difficult to keep everything square and true. After sanding all parts the case was assembled, stained and multiple coats of polyurethane were applied. Final assembly was completed without incident and the clock was hung on the wall. Overall, it functions well and makes a nice appearance. MY MISTAKE WAS NOT RETURNING THE PRODUCT WHEN I REALIZED THERE WAS AN ISSUE WITH THE PRE-ASSEMBLED CASE.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My grandson had a really good time putting your Dearborn clock kit together. I believe that the kit taught him to be patient and to take a great deal of pride in the workman ship that he was capable of doing. Isaiah is twelve years of age.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dearborn regulator Bought this kit as a Christmas present and loved it. Excellent instructions, easy to follow. Longest part of making was the finishing. After stain and poly was applied it's gourgious! Will by more. Fun to make

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy kit Only took 4 days to complete however the preglued carcas did not line up well and had defects in the wood. The glass will not stay alined with the dial as the hold down strips are weak and cheap.
