Mora Clock Plan and Components
The Mora Clock was influenced by the Swedish Mora Clock style from the 18th century. Our long time customer and master woodworker, Richard Didier, magnificently designed, built and helped us turn this grandfather clock into a woodworking plan.
This shapely clock features a locking waist pendulum door and a top hinged dial door. This is one of our most challenging clock plans, designed for the experienced woodworker, as it will require a machining experience to complete. The ability to create shop-made router guide templates is also required. A compound mitre saw for molding pieces will also be needed. To date, this is the most ambitious woodworking clock plan Klockit has ever offered! This clock plan accepts the Hermle 1161-853 cable-drive, triple-chime mechanical movement, choice of pendulum, and weight shell accessories listed for the Hermle movement.
This clock plan contains includes full-size trace patterns ("D" size drafting sheets - 24" x 36") from which router guide templates can be made to machine all shaped wood parts. This clock plan also includes fully dimensioned, construction detail drawings, as well as detailed illustrated and written assembly instructions. The component package contains all necessary hardware and fasteners for assembly. Also includes required non-mortise hinges, strap hinge, glass retainer, surface-mount lock, key plate (escutcheon), 14-15/16" metal clock face, hands, magnetic catch, leg levelers, and plastic turn-buttons.Movement, pendulum, and weight shells are sold separately.
