The historic storm glass is regarded as the oldest
barometer in the world. Each storm glass is
handblown and accurately forecasts changes in the
weather hours in advance. Fill the barometer with
colored water and watch the rising or falling level
of the liquid in the spout to indicate weather
changes. A low water level signals “high pressure”
and fair weather. A high water level is associated
with “low pressure” and poor weather
conditions. The barometer shown includes a
Chinaberry wood plaque (14"H x 6"W), glass
barometer, glass drip cup, syringe for filling
and complete instructions and comes finished
and ready for gift-giving! The components
include a glass barometer, glass drip cup, syringe, and complete instructions.
