Tabletop KraftKote is 15% harder and more durable than regular KraftKote. Tabletop KraftKote can be used on tabletops, countertops or bar tops. Product needs to be mixed with equal parts of Resin and Hardener in a measuring container (order 36086 below). Kits contain equal amounts of resin and hardener (ex: 1 gallon kit contains 1/2 gallon resin and 1/2 gallon hardener). We recommend pouring KraftKote no more than 1/8" thick. To achieve a thicker finish, repeat the process after allowing the previous layer to cure for at least 36 hours.

PLEASE NOTE: KraftKote can only be shipped via ground service and cannot be returned. No RUSH delivery available on Kraftkote. Because it is considered a hazardous material, KraftKote cannot be shipped through the United States Post Office. If you have questions see our KraftKote Helpful Hints page or call technical support at 1-800-556-6474.

How to Figure Square Feet for Coverage Amount
  • Measure area using length and width measurements (Length in inches x Width in inches = Square Inches). This includes circles, ovals or other irregular shaped areas. For example: A 12" diameter circle would measure 12"L x 12"W. 12"L x 12"W = 144 Sq. Inches. (144 sq. in. = 1 sq. ft.)

Hello, I have some knot holes that need filler around the loose knots, the wood is 3/4 inch thick. Will your epoxy fill the small gaps? I would put tape on the bottom to keep it from running out.

Asked by: jerry 67
Hi Jerry, we do not recommend using KraftKote to fill the small gaps. For more details on the application of KraftKote, please contact us at 1-800-556-2548 or klockit@klockit.com.

Yes, it is safe once cured - but we do not recommend performing activities like food preparation on the cured surface.

Is it ok to use Polycrylic, which is water based, to seal your wood before using this product? Or is the water/glue solution you mentioned the only thing I should use before applying the Kraftkote?

Asked by: MTDuBose
We always advise the water/glue mixture as it is a tried and true method.

I have a live edge slab of Elm that is roughly 8' X 2' X 2" that I will be using as a bar top.  I am looking for a product to fill small cracks and knots before staining and/or varnishing.  Is this the type of product that I could use for this?  Thanks.

Asked by: dhead61
We do not recommend using KraftKote to fill in small cracks and knots. Most customers use a wood filler, painter’s putty, sawdust and super glue (for small holes), or KwikWood to fill in small holes before staining and/or varnishing. Please contact us at 1-800-556-2548 with any questions on this information.

Hi, I am trying to fill gaps in wooden plank table (guessing they split due to low humidity) and created smooth durable surface on top.  Is this the correct type of product to use?

Asked by: Moira Smith
Hi Moira, KraftKote is not typically used to fill gaps. Depending on the depth of the gaps, multiple layers may be needed in order to repair the gaps. Using KraftKote will not be the most cost-effective option. We'd be happy to help you find the correct product to use, but we have some other question to ask before providing a recommendation. We'll reach out to you soon via email!

How long dry

Asked by: nik oh do61
It typically takes 36 hours for 1 coat of KraftKote to properly dry. We recommend waiting at least 36 hours before applying another coat or using the surface again.
