Look to Mother Nature for your next weather report with our new Weather Sticks. Made from balsam fir saplings that are stripped of bark, these great conversation pieces actually "predict" the weather. Sticks point up when the weather is good. When the weather takes a turn for the worse, so do the sticks, pointing down to the ground. Made from Balsam wood, the predicting sticks should be mounted outdoors under an eave, on a window frame or on a porch, garage or barn wall. Be patient when you first get them as they will take a short while to adapt to your weather. Makes a great gift for any weather enthusiast.
The Weather Stick are balsam fir saplings that have been stripped of their bark and have been dried. The Balsam fir trees tend to grow in sugar maple groves; shading the plastic tubing that is used to collect the maple syrup. The more shade the tree provides, the slower the syrup flows so maple sugar farmers need to thin out their Balsam trees on a regular basis. This thinning of the trees provides plenty of new weather sticks for us.
