Admiral Fitzroy Storm Glass

Admiral Fitzroy Storm Glass
spacer
Zoom Image

During the early 1700s, the Admiral Fitzroy Storm Glass was used by sailors to forecast weather by relying upon the forever changing crystal formations. It is believed that the electromagnetic changes in weather patterns activate the crystals inside the glass. This storm glass is 6" tall and stands alone on flat surfaces.

How to Predict the Weather:

  • Large flakes in liquid = overcast or snow conditions
  • Threads near top = warm or windy conditions
  • Small stars in liquid on a sunny, winter day = snow is coming
  • Crystals at bottom = indicates frost
  • Cloudy glass with small stars = indicates thunderstorms
  • Clear liquid = indicates bright and clear conditions
