This “progressive design” desk clock is an ideal individual or class woodworking project that is adaptable for students of various ages and skill levels. The plan has five different progressive designs ranging from “basic design” – where the instructor could pre-cut the wood parts and students do the glue assembly and finishing work, to the “master design” – where students do all aspects of wood machining, including creating the secret compartment, as well as assembly and finishing.
All five designs utilize a single board foot of lumber and a 3 7/8" clock insert available from Klockit. This is an ideal graded project where instructors can expand the project for manufacturing class curriculums.
