This large wooden clock ring and metal dial makes telling time from a distance easy. A high-torque quartz clock movement drives the hour and minute hands while a quartz clock movement runs the slave second hand. Made from Catalpa, Oak and Linden. Dimensions: 24 3/4" diameter x 2 7/8"D. 20 3/4" diameter x 1/8" thick plexiglass lens sold separately below.
ASSEMBLY SUPPLIES REQUIRED:
Screwdrivers
Awl
Electric drill
Small wrench or needle nose pliers
Silicone glue (for securing glass/Plexiglass)
Wood stain/finish & applicators (China bristle brush recommended)
Clean, lint-free rags
Optional:
Sandpaper (400 grit, 600 grit)
Wood Primer/Paint (If you are not staining/finishing)
Sanding Detailers and /or sanding pad
GENERAL ASSEMBLY & WOOD FINISHING STEPS:
The following assembly and finishing steps are easy to complete by just utilizing the step by step illustrated and written instuctions provided with the kit.
Sand wood ring
Stain and finish wood ring
Mount optional plexiglass with silicone adhesive
Assemble the movement and dial to the dial backing board
Mount hour, minute, and second hands
Secure the dial backing board/dial assembly to the clock ring with screws provided
Set the time
