Seiko Brand

The Seiko Electronic Dual-Chime Clock Movement is a quartz clock movement that includes a speaker that can be mounted directly on the movement or the case. Electronically plays Westminster or Whittington melody on quarter hours and strikes out the hours. The volume control lets you select desired sound level and the night silencer switch automatically quiets chimes during sleeping hours. A rear set-knob is placed for convenient time setting. The 16" breakaway pendulum rod is 1/2" from the movement front and swings may vary up to 1/2".

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heart Transplant for the clock my son made My son made this clock when he was in high school about 30 years ago. The works recently gave up the ghost. So I ordered new works--a Seiko Electronic Dual Chime pendulum Quartz Clock Movement. The order arrived promptly and I proceeded to remove the old works and replace them with this new Seiko clock movement. The process went well, including setting the time and the chiming.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great battery operated clock movement I purchased 4 of the Seiko Electronic Dual-Chime Pendulum Quartz Clock Movements spread across November/December 2015. I built 4 clocks, 3 oak, 1 walnut and this clock movement with its features truly enhanced the clocks I built. If you are building a clock or replacing a movement, I recommend this one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A replacement I replaced a 20 year old one in a schoolhouse clock I had made. It had quit chiming and finally quit working. I kept the old pendulum and reused it with this works. It keeps great time and chimes load enough to hear throughout the house. Was easy to install and fit nicely in old clock.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exellent Procuct It was important to me that I get this clock working once again. It was given to me for 40 years of service from the Company I worked for. It had not worked for years, but after a conversation with one of your representatives on the phone I was able to buy what was needed to make it work again. Again thanks for all the help. Great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Replacement clock motor & chime Purchased one. Upon installation it would run for one day and then quit. Tried several other batteries, same story. Klockit accepted return in trade for another motor & chime (same model). This one works as advertised. Easy to follow instructions and easy install. Would I purchase again? yup.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not too great I bought this a little over a month ago and the pendulum swings about 1" total movement. Tried brand new batteries and no help. Not cool. The chime sound is excellent though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Replacement for one purchased a long time ago I purchased this product to replace the works in a clock I made a long time ago. It was the exact works that I used when I made the clock. It was perfect and fit right in the place where the other one was. Just what I needed.

I am replacing a quartz clock movement identical to the Seiko movement pictured here. I would like to know if the 5/16" shaft is roughly 5/8" total length. The wider threaded portion of the shaft is (where the nut attaches) is 5/16" in length.

Asked by: Roy the Clockmaker
Hi Roy, this Seiko movement comes in two shaft lengths: 5/8" and 1 1/8". These two measurements are the total length of the hand shaft (from the base of the movement where the threads start, to the tip of the shaft where the second hand is attached). This is labeled as Total Hand Shaft Length in the table above. The short shaft version will offer a threaded portion of 1/4"; the long shaft version will have 5/8" worth of threads. This is labeled as Maximum Dial Thickness in the table above. Please contact us at 1-800-556-2548 with any questions on this information. We're happy to help!

i have a seiko westminister / whittington wall clock. with defective movement ( module has no model number except for skp or skf.??? or there several numbers in the Battery Tray would this be the replacement for the module in this clock Thanks Bill

Asked by: Depp
Hi Bill, we are unable to provide a replacement recommendation based off that reference. Can you please contact us at 1-800-556-2548 or klockit@klockit.com with the measurements below? We'll then be able to help you find a replacement movement for your wall clock! (1) Thickness of material the shaft will have to travel through including the clock face and any material the face will be mounted to, or the threaded portion of the hand shaft (maximum dial thickness) (2) Total length of the hand shaft on the movement. Please measure the entire length of the shaft from the base of the movement where the shaft comes out of the movement to the tip where the hands attach to (total hand shaft length) (3) Your movement's case dimensions (4) Minute hand length from the center mount hole to the tip

I have a liar (four strands) total length of 12" four " swing, what clock kit will handle this as well as loudness, the one I purchased earlier this month the pendulum moves very little and the chime you can barely hear. K6390

Hi George, we need more information about your parts before providing a recommendation. We will be reaching out to you soon via email.

My mechanism has gained 10 minutes and I cannot think how to set.  Do I hold that little wheel in the back and move minute hand backwards?  I tried removing battery but that didn't work.

Asked by: Linda
Hi Linda, we recommend moving the time set wheel clockwise to the correct time. If you try that and the problem still persists, please contact us at 1-800-556-2548.

How do you set the time?  Mine seems to be off about 10 minutes

Asked by: Linda
Hi Linda, please use the time set wheel on the back of the clock movement to adjust the time. Move the time set wheel clockwise to adjust the time. If your movement continues to lose time, please contact us at 1-800-556-2548.

(1) Thickness of material the shaft will have to travel (maximum dial thickness) = 5 mm (2) Total length of the hand shaft on the movement.(total hand shaft length) = 22 mm (3) movement's case dimensions : 75 mm length x (125 mm with ear) x 40 mm

I just replaced the Seiko movement  for my grandmother clock.  I love it.  I used the full length of the pendulum stick. The bob swings 'only' an inch.  Is that OK.  Does the pendulum have any effect on the clock movement?

Asked by: Gianni
The pendulum swing will not alter the operation of this movement if not swinging at full capacity. If you see any delays in timekeeping, please contact us at 1-800-556-2548.
