The Tubular Quad Chime Clock Movement is a quartz clock movement that features clear, vibrant, resonant chimes that are reminiscent of the tubular chimes you'd hear from a Grandfather clock. This quartz clock movement plays Westminster, Ave Maria, "Bim-bam", or gong on the hour and quarter hours. There is a sound switch on the back of the movement for Night Off. When selected, the melodies will not chime between the hours of 11 p.m. and 5:45 a.m.

The 15-1/2" lead wires allow for proper positioning of the speaker. Use with a 16" or 22" breakaway pendulum rod and your choice of bob, both sold separately. The pendulum hook is 3/4" from movement's front.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The great features mean heads turn when it chimes! Although a bit pricey for my little project, I decided to go ahead & put this unit in a mechanical movement regulator wall clock case. It fit easily, with an extra shortening of the pendulum. A friend heard it chime, & rounded the corner into the family room, expecting to see a grandfather clock. He was completely blown away! When we have guests, I switch from Bim Bam to Westminster. It always starts a migration to the family room. Bottom line is a great tone that does not sound electronic, & well worth the money. Don't forget to double check your measurements

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very Nice Tubular Chime Sound but There are Issues In my opinion this product is cheaply made for the price. I had to send the first movement back because the chimes would only play at the lowest volume setting. I received a replacement and the chimes would not play when the volume was set to approximately 60% or above. However I did not return the second movement because the volume set to about 50% was loud enough for me and I didn't want to go through the hassle of another return.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tubular Quad Chime Quartz Clock Movement - 11/16" I bought this clock movement with the long shaft so I can mount the face on a 3/8" thick piece of acrylic plastic. This was so I can mount it in the clock box easier and also it would set the pendulum back a little more. I then very easily mounted the mechanism on the plastic using the canter nut and two #4 screws. I then installed the batteries and walla! the clock works! I chose the 4x4 Westminster and adjusted the volume. The volume was adjustable from very low to quite loud. I then followed the instructions very carefully to adjust the time. Again, success! I had bought the brass rod and bob for the pendulum and decided the rod was to mickey mouse. So I glued a 1/16" x 3/4" x 20" piece of wood onto it and stained it to match the clock box. I am very pleased with the finished results. Also I am impressed with the accuracy of the unit. The timing must be crystal controlled. Dan Allen

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Have had mine now for about 4 years and it never fails to amaze guests where I installed it! I mounted it on the back of an old decorative luminair box with the speaker mounted inside. I installed the hour hand only inside the box for the purpose of only fine tuning the hourly strike time. My friend is now buying one to do the same with an old, non-working mantel clock. Great realistic sound!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best sounding electronic movement The tubular quad chime quartz movement was packed well & received on time. I replaced a mechanical works in a Linden wall clock with a little modification. It keeps excellent time & the chime tone is just fantastic. It has chime volume, 4 different chimes & late night off switch.

My current clock case has an 8" pendulum. Will I be able to use this length with this movement? Is the pendulum on this movement used for the time keeping?

Asked by: John Drew
Hi John, the pendulum hook on this clock movement is not used for time keeping. We don't recommend using your existing pendulum/bob combo on this new clock movement. We do offer a single hook pendulum rod #1009777 that must be purchased separately and is adjustable in size. The back of the rod is scored in 1” marks and can be easily snapped off to the size needed: Pendulum Rod: http://www.klockit.com/products/sku-1009777.html

How do I correct the chime to ring correctly - it is off

Asked by: fsundstrom
This clock movement features a chime selector that allows you to select the chiming melody. If you've already selected the chime but the movement isn't properly chiming in accordance with the time, you'll need to reset them. We recommend contacting our customer service team at 1-800-556-2548 so we can assist you with the reset over the phone. On the call, we'll also be able to determine if there's an issue with the chime that's not associated with the time.

How do you set time and chimes in this model?

Asked by: Bernie59
Hi Bernie, below are the instructions for setting the time and chimes on this clock movement: Insert the hour hand (shorter hand) onto the hand shaft at the “5” o’clock position. Insert the minute hand (longer hand) onto the shaft as well (it is not important where the hand is pointing to at this time). Secure the minute hand with the cap nut provided (or use the open nut if you are adding a second sweep). If you are mounting a second sweep hand, you may mount the second hand stem into the center pin of the hand shaft (at the “12” o’clock position). Before inserting the batteries, rotate the time set knob (on the back of the movement, just above the control panel) so the clock is at 5:50. Now you may insert the batteries according the proper polarity (+/-) indicated in the movement battery compartment. Note: When the batteries are initially inserted, the melody function is automatically set for 5:00 (AM), regardless of the time indicated on your clock. To set the time and melody, turn the time set knob so that the minute hand rotates CLOCKWISE. If the current time is PM, continue to rotate the time set knob so that the hour hand passes through the “12” o’clock position on the dial before the desired time is shown. The clock may continue to chime as you rotate the hands to the proper time. Please note that once you have reached the desired time, the melody will synchronize itself shortly afterward. Important: The 4X4 mode will not work correctly during the first hour after the time is set, however this is perfectly normal. The movement will self-synchronize after this initial hour. If you have any questions on this information, please contact us at 1-800-556-2548 or klockit@klockit.com.

would this part replace the part in a verichron quartz chime clock?

Asked by: SLMaynard
Hi SLMaynard, we are unable to provide a replacement recommendation based off that reference. Can you please contact us at 1-800-556-2548 or klockit@klockit.com with the measurements below? (You will need to remove the clock movement from your clock) We'll then be able to help you find the proper replacement! (1) Thickness of material the shaft will have to travel through including the clock face and any material the face will be mounted to (maximum dial thickness) (2) Total length of the hand shaft on the movement. Please measure the entire length of the shaft from the base of the movement where the shaft comes out of the movement to the tip where the hands attach to (total hand shaft length) (3) Your movement's case dimensions (4) Minute hand length from the center mount hole to the tip
