Pendulum lengths (A) are measured from the center of the hand shaft (B) on the movement to the tip of the pendulum bob (C).

Note: The pendulum rod itself will be shorter than the measurement from (B) to (C).

Asked by: Jacket
Hi John, length A in the diagram is the Mounted Pendulum Length (MTD Pend Length). We'll reach out soon via email with more details.

What is the shortest pendulum length and smallest swing that you have?  I would like to make a clock between 10"-12" high and 3"-4" wide

Asked by: Larry7
Hi Larry, 4" is the smallest we would recommend. Please contact us at klockit@klockit.com with more details on your clock and we'll advise from there.

What would be the average weight (lbs/kgs) of the drive weights for a 10 inch black forest cuckoo clock.

Asked by: Blkfor
Hi Blkfor, we do not manufacture cuckoo clocks and are unable to answer your question.

German cuckoo clock, the movement box has a make name that is partly covered by a gear but ends in –GULA. It then has the #25-A above that and at the top there is a GM 1884288/1692176. Can you tell me the pendulum dimensions and weight and drive weights.

Asked by: Blkfor
Hi BlkFor, we do not carry cuckoo clock parts at this time. Sorry!

Hello, I have mechanical grandfather clock.Need to replace the pendulum. How would I go about finding the correct pendulum. I think you need some information. Please let me know what information you need, such as the length of the pendulum A-C.

Asked by: GBK69
Hello, we first need to know which mechanical clock movement you have in your grandfather clock. Please send the brand and model number (located on the back of the clock movement) to our email address: klockit@klockit.com and mention ATTN: Deanna. Thank you!

The length of the pendulum from B to C in your diagram is 38". Is that considered a short pendulum? You probably have an explanation in your information, but I haven't found it. Thanks

Asked by: GoodAce
We need to know if you are asking about a pendulum that will go on a quartz or mechanical clock movement. We sent a follow up email to your address with more details.

I am making a modern clock and intend to attach a small 1/8" thick plywood (3"x2") piece on the front side of the pendulum (round end). Can this be done and still allow the pendulum to function properly?

Asked by: geno woodworker
Hi Geno, we cannot guarantee the wood piece will work on the movement due to the weight. If the pendulum does swing, the swing will be reduced in speed and over time will drain the battery. We do not recommend attaching anything to the pendulum rod or bob. Please contact us at 1-800-556-2548 with any questions on this information.

I'm in the design phase of a new clock. Your pendulum lengths are too long for my project. Am I able to adjust or modify your pendulums for the length I need?

Asked by: Paul W
Hi Paul, yes most of our pendulums feature a breakaway style - meaning sections are scored on the pendulum rod that allow for you to easily break down the rod to the size you need. Please contact us at 1-800-556-2548 if you have any questions on this information.
